He mentored and had a great positive influence on many. But more than that, he was a complete person. Charles L. Phillips was a moral and virtuous man who was sympathetic, cordial and loyal to friends and family. At the age of 18, he wrote in a school assignment that he “could not think of a greater joy than having people in his life. That we make this earthly pilgrimage alone, but knowing others face the same trials as we ourselves is of comfort. When my time runs out, I hope to look back and find that it hasn’t been in vain, but that I have gained a measure oof accomplishments knowing that I went through and completed, to the best of my ability, a job that will be labeled ‘well done’ will be a great satisfaction.”

Chuck is survived by his wife (Linda), daughter (Karie), son (Addison) and four Grandchildren; (Dashiell, Kayla, Mileys and Emily.) His remains were placed in the Scattering Garden at the City of Monterey Cemetery by his family on September 5th.
