Jeffrey Smith OBITUARY

Jeffrey “Smitty” Smith, born Jul. 8, 1962, passed on Jan. 12, 2026. Born at Fort Ord, Jeff spent most of his life on the peninsula. He took great pride in his work as a plumber, owning Smitty’s Plumbing and Drains and later working for Weimer Plumbing and A&R Plumbing. Jeff loved speed in all forms–cars, boats, and skiing.

He shared a deep bond with his dogs, Riley and Huey, who preceded him in death and were his closest companions.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Kristina Smith and Alyssa Mikell; his grandchildren, Avery, Addison, and Ace; and his sister, Michelle Riddle. He was preceded in death by his father Barry, mother Shirley, and brother Michael.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the SPCA of Monterey County.
